Acorn House is a newly renovated 64-bed home situated in the centre of Nottingham, providing residential and specialist dementia care. The home is looking to find a new Senior Care Assistant to join the already fabulous team.  Allocated to one floor, you will be supporting and caring for the residents alongside supervising and inspiring all other team members.

What  you will receive as a Senior Care Assistant;

  • Full-time, permanent contract
  • 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota (12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm)
  • £11.35 per hour, depending on experience and training
  • Nottingham-based, NG5 2AT

What you will be doing as a Senior Care Assistant;

  • Assist residents with the activities of daily living and personal care
  • Supervise a team of carers, providing support and assistance where required
  • Act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day-to-day activities
  • Provide support at meal times
  • Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
  • Responsible for daily medication rounds, ensuring records are maintained
  • Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities

What you will need to be successful as a Senior Care Assistant;

  • Experience of working within a caring environment
  • Hold or be willing to work towards L3 in Health and Social Care
  • The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
  • Willingness to develop new skills
